1. my son was so excited about the Elmo underwear, as was I because it got him to potty train. My wife and i found that the underwear from this maker was by far the softest that the stores offered, so we were happy Elmo was available. After wearing, our son did complain of the tag being itchy, just like some of the comments below. So we contacted the maker of the underwear and they informed me that they are going Tagless on all underwear they make, and they even sent me a free pair. So now the soft Elmo underwear just got better!



2. As the previous reviewer noted, the tag is sewn in and very scratchy. My son objected immediately... and I'd washed them first several times. However... he LOVES the Elmo and Cookie Monster characters, and feels very motivated to "keep Elmo dry".
   
   Instead of scissors, I used a seam-ripper, and very carefully removed the tags. No problem with damaging the waistband, and the undies are now fine, loved, and comfortable.
   
   However, I am surprised at the manufacturer. Come'on guys! You're making a product for tender-skinned toddlers... switch to print-on labels and ditch the tags.



3. The underwear, which I bought for my 2.5 year old son, is cute, but has a terrible flaw: the label is scratchy. In addition, it is sewn into the waistband with nylon thread (that tough, clear thread that looks like fishing wire), which pokes out and is itchy and irritating. Simply cutting the scratchy label out doesn't work because you still have the nylon threads poking out of the waistband. I would have returned these, except I had already written my son's name in them (which needed to be done for daycare). I ended up spending a huge amount of time snipping the labels (and nylon thread) out with sharp sewing scissors, but unfortunately the labels are so tightly sewn on that the waistband on two of the six pairs got frayed and had to be sewn up (I don't know how long the sewing repair will last). I would have expected a more thoughtful and commonsensical design for underwear designed for a toddler.

1. This outfit is very well made. Not cheap fabric. Does seem to run little big.



2. Really adorable! It is for my twin granddaughters, who are both big Elmo fans - they are going to love this. The pants and the jacket are 100% cotton so some shrinkage is to be expected -- and as they appear larger than other garments of the same size, shrink should not be a problem. (Just got them - have not been laundered.) The T-shirt is 60/40 and appears to be a more standard size (should not shrink). I am very happy with this purchase and know the girls are going to be thrilled.
