- I bought this boot to use while doing yard work. Its a good boot "made well" I get them all muddy & just hose them off & they stay dry! I would have given them a 5* if they came is "wide" widths.
- Boots are very good quality. They are not as high as I would like, but I can live with them. The boots are very wide; quite a bit wider than my previous pair. Overall, a good boot for the price.

- These boots are worth the premium price. Well constructed and very comfortable. Good arch and heel support. Light weight and good "breathing" make it a boot you can wear all day. Last lace loop is a hook so it is easy to loosen and release to get off.
I have to say the sizing chart was a real pain to have to mess with! But if you do it carefully you will have a good fit based on the chart. However, you cannot wear heavy socks unless you go to the next size up. But if you plan on wearing them to keep your feet dry, warm and walk alot, (especially if you will be inside), stick with a normal weight sock.
Only problem I found is that the leather loop in the back is for really small fingers. My hands are not real large and I can't get my finger inside the loop. I just pull on the strap which makes the boot harder to get on as the strap is also kind of short and not easy to hold on to.

- This shoes really stand for their box description, they're great for using after a long walk on the mountains with boots, after a long day at the office and they're also great for driving!
Not only the previous but their design is very cool and come in nice colors (mine are navy blue, great for using with jeans).

- I have owned many varieties of boots and casual shoes over the years. These are the best, simply the best. They have a well constructed firm structure, light weight, well cushioned soles, and never let the water in. They look so good they can actually double for casual dress shoes. If your pant comes down the ankle, the top and sides are so attractive, you can wear them with everything from jeans to dress pants. I actually cannot believe the price listed here. My only regret was that I paid full price almost 1 year ago.
- These arrived today for my husband. They look great and my husband says so far they're really comfortable. The price can't be beat. These are a great deal on a quality name brand shoe.
- I have owned at least one pair of Rockport dress shoes for the past 11 years. When I came time to look for a boot to wear in rainy weather. I decided to look at the XCS. When I saw the great price I had ordered on the spot.
I used the free super saver shipping and the package arrived in 2 days!!
I have been wearing them to work (I commute by bike) and am very pleased with the comfort. They sole is thick but light, and very comfortable. They are high enough to tuck under my rain gear (very important in PA) and they are already water proof.
There was a brief (1-2 day) break in period where they were stiffer then I would have liked but now they are quite flexible.
My wife loves the style as do I. I would not hesitate to wear them to any business casual event.

- Got these for technical spring/summer/fall mountaineering in the lower 48 (like Rainier) and winter ice climbing in New England. Wanted to replace my heavy Koflach plastic clunkers.
Built on the Makalu last and the fit is similiar. Runs little bit bigger than the Makalu's of the same size. About an ounce lighter than the Makalu's. Very warm. Climb ice very well, just like a leather boot. For hiking/slogging they are great ... BUT ... They take a LONG TIME to break in. Mine took about 100+ miles with a 75 pound pack to break in. Until then say goodbye to your heels. Great boot...
