5 comments about ECCO Men's Track II High Gore-Tex® Boot.

  1. The ecco trackII is a very well made boot. The cut and stitch work were of fine quality. The instant I put them on they felt very comfortable. No break in time is needed, the leather is soft and flexable. I work on concrete floors in an autobody shop for ten hours or more everyday. My legs, feet and knees have felt much better at the end of the day since wearing my TrackII's for about two months. I gave them four out of five stars....for now. If they prove to be durable and stand up to my work enviroment, then they will get five stars. But for now they get four. I do plan on buying another pair just for everyday wear....they are that comfortable. Maybe i'll try TrackIV....ecco has made a new cutomer in me!

  2. I have a pair of ecco high gore tex boots purchased six or seven years ago which I really like and the quality and workmanship is second to none, the new ones are not the same, being outsourced to China was not a good thing to do to the customers who want high quality and comfort that we were used to in ECCO products..

  3. Everything you would expect from an Ecco product. I have owned several pairs of their shoes and these are my first pair of boots. They are just as comfortable as the shoes, with the addition of the support and warmth of the ankle support.

  4. I am a Federal Express courier who works 50 hour weeks, gets in and out of my truck over 100+ times a day, walks over 5 miles daily and is exposed to all weather elements. I pound the pavement, concrete, wet grass, curbs, puddles, metal truck floors and STILL will get over 2 years of life from these remarkable Ecco Track II boots. Any courier from UPS, DHL, and USPS will understand...THAT is remarkable. Most couriers buy a pair of $60 Nike, Reebok, Adidas, New Balance, etc and in just 6 months, they are SHOT! When a fellow courier at FedEx introduced me to the Ecco Track II and told me that it would cost $200, I thought he was out of his mind! However, I now swear by them and will never go back to sneakers or other boots again for work. I just bought my third pair and the secret to extending the life of the Track II is to take out the insole every night after work and place a cedar shoe tree in them to absorb all the moisture and keep the boot sturdy. Three things stand out about the Ecco Track II boot: exceptionally durable, extremely comfortable and best of all, Gore Tex! Never will you go around a puddle again! Trust a FedEx courier who abuses the daylights out of his boots: Plunk down the money for the Ecco Track II. . . and you will swear by them.

  5. I've worn this model for 5 years. It beats everything else I've tried including Mephisto.

  1. First of all, the shoes received were not as pictured --- they were not low-top hikers, they were higher topped like boots. Then, they were too narrow. Did not come in anything but medium width.

  2. Cant figure the first post out. I have really enjoyed my Saratoga Hikers.
Have had 2 pairs now. They are really hard to beat for the great price.
I've hiked all over the North Geoargia mountains and they really work well.
    Very comfy.

  3. Never buy it! I wasted 25 bucks for this stupid thing. Didnt even fit me. Dont get fooled by the picture in the web. Here's my story.

Payed $26...a $8 for shipping alone.

I was eagerly waiting for this. Even the most local brands will send the shoes in a box. well, I got it in a dirty white cover! with black marks all over it. And it comes with a 5 pound load of ads(now I know why the shipping cost was high...)

The lace and the spongy stuff in it is all in GREEN color. know what i mean....anyone can spot your shoe even a mile away....its so glaring GREEN!

The lace allignment is all distorted. Doesn't even look decent. I am right now looking at returning this thing.

    My advice....DONT BUY IT!

5 comments about Columbia Sportswear Men's Frontier Peak GTX Hiking Boot.

  1. I got the shoes on the day I was promised. It is a columbia which has a very good reputation and I was not disappointed. I brought it for my son since you don't usually can find men size 7 in the store. However, you have to be sure about your shoe size or even try the actual shoes before you order your shoes online.

  2. Purchased these boots for backpacking. So far I have backpacked across the Grand Canyon in these boots. There are holding up great, excellent traction in all conditions. Well made with great ankle support. They are a little heavy, however they appear well made. Comfortable. I would recommend these boots for the serious hiker, not you typical walking the trail boots.

  3. These boots were outstanding. They handling everything from dirt, to dust, to knee deep mud... Highly recommended!

  4. I stumbled across this boot on sale while trying to find something (at the last minute) in a wide width for a late season hunting trip, and couldn't be happier with this product! Over the past month, I have worn the Peak GTX while pheasant hunting, snowshoeing, shoveling show, and just walking the dog, which speaks to the boot's versatility and comfort. Although it is not a true insulated boot (which keeps the weight down), my feet have never felt cold, even in below-zero temps here in Minnesota... a good pair of wool socks will do wonders for staying warm.

With regard to fit, be forewarned that Columbia boots seem to run a bit shorter than average - I ordinarily wear an 11, but am glad I ordered the 11.5 in this model. The wide width version has been a welcome relief for my 3E-width "duck feet" and this is one of the few boots in which I have felt comfortable for extended walking and standing.

  5. I've been rambling on the south american Andes for the past three years with these comfortable yet sturdy boots. They'll even keep you dry on moderate glaciers such as Ritacuba. I'm buying new ones for my husband.
