  1. A few years ago I switched back to briefs after years of wearing boxers--I could no longer stand the fly gaping open. I have worn Fruit of the Loom until I happened to see these Hanes Classics at the store. I was not dissappointed. They fit perfectly and stay comfortable all day. The waistband--contrary to some other reviews--fits me fine and I have no problem with it. I would HIGHLY recomend these to everyone.

  2. After reading the other reviews, I couldn't help wondering whether the reviewers were either being too particular, or were avoiding their own weight issues. I've worn Hanes briefs, along with other brands, for many years. Could there really be much difference between the "new" Hanes briefs and the "old" ones?

The answer: Yes. I bought a 3-pack (34's), and lo and behold, unlike any other briefs I've ever owned, the grey waistband is made so that it only stretches so far. As another reviewer said, it was like there's a tied drawstring inside. To be sure, I had little trouble fitting into my size--anyone who says "I struggled and struggled and I'm positive I've got a 32 waist but these 32's wouldn't go on" needs to get a grip, stop the denial, and shed a few pounds or buy some 34's. BUT, these briefs ARE slightly smaller than all the other 34's I own, and I've got a drawer full, from three other manufacturers. And the fabric is thinner than previous Hanes, and most other briefs. So the bottom line is they aren't unwearable, just chintzy. Hanes has obviously decided to cut costs at the consumer's expense. Too bad, but that's what you get for the price.

  3. The items I purchased were unwearable. My husband used the briefs in the first package and found the fabrice was much thinner than any Hanes briefs I had purchased before. There was also a problem with lack of elasticity where it was needed. He has not opened the other two packages and we will probably dispose of them. You can be sure I will never purchase clothing from this site again. Too bad.

  4. My wife usually buys designer brand underwear for me but I though hey, tightie whities are well ... tightie whities. So when I needed a filler item for free shipping, I thought why not.

When these arrived and I tried them on for the first time, I immediately regretted my decision. I have a 33 waist yet when I put these 34 waist on, I had a hard time getting into them. The problem was all about the waistband. Instead of having a flexible waistband that stretches easily, it felt like there was a tied drawstring inside the waistband. Once I put them on, it was ok but I felt like I had to pay attention to not break the waistband when sliding my legs into the underwear. That's weak.
Never buying these again and I don't recommend it to anyone else.

Update: My gripe just continues. It is even difficult to do number #1 in these because of the waist band. Because the waist band has no elasticity, it's even hard to pull it down below your junk if you have to p. Oh, I suppose you can try the thru method. Bad. Bad. Bad.

  5. One of the few companies,HANES, who has not shifted to between sizes, or SMALL,MEDIUM,LARGE. The between sizes are either, too small, or too large.

The only change that is ever made in this style is on the waistband, like color, material changes in the elastic. This last style waistband gets pullies on the back of the elastic when you wash it. certainly not, an improvement.

  1. They are comfortable, fit well, and very soft. They have a pouch, which is good, but I don't notice any "trophy shelf" though.

  2. Best pair of briefs...EVER. Not only do they make everything "comfortable" down below, the fabric is really pleasant to wear all day long.

  3. I got these for my man for christmas. I told him I was getting him some "mangerie" - you know, "man's lingerie" and he was nervous. But when he first tried them on he was impressed with how comfortable they are. The bamboo is amazingly soft and the trophy shelf is ingenious - it really shows off a man's trophy!
I love it when he slips them on for me - he looks (and feels he says) super sexy.
The elastic on the top is really good quality too - it doesn't seem like the kind that will start to fray too soon - depending on how you treat your mangerie that is...

  4. Very soft and comfortable. Will definatly buy more. Can wear all day long and still comfortable.

  5. Made up of 98% bamboo and 2% Spandex. This works well and has a firm, snug fit for any and all. Great product, nice purchase and all around very comfortable to wear. It also comes in different colors and it doesnt hurt that enhances "something" as well.

    Great buy.

  1. I was very impressed by these comfortable underpants predominantly made from bamboo, an environmentally-friendly fibre which is superior to cotton in its softness and unique ability to deter the growth of bacteria.
    Good work!

  2. The bamboo fabric is just a gimmick, it doesn't provide any benefits over cotton or anything else for that matter. Mine have not held up very well, some of the tiny fibers have come unraveled, though it doesn't seem to be serious. The fit is nothing special. If they were half the price I would be satisfied, but for this price they do not live up to expectations. Overall these are inferior to my Unico Suspensor Long Underwear, both in fit and durability, and I will be looking for something in the Unico line to replace these.

  3. These are the practical version of the C-IN@ men's bamboo underwear. They're super soft and comfy and have that wonderful trophy shelf that looks so sexy - even if it doesn't add comfort for the wearer. They're also low rise so a guy can wear them with today's low rise jeans without showing off his undies.
The bamboo fabric is really soft and supportive, tho a touch transparent.

  4. The trophy shelf is poorly shaped and the underwear do ride up (wedgie!). They are listed as being trunks, but really they are shaped more life briefs.

  5. I was completely fed up with boxers and briefs. They just didn't give me enough support and in the heat of the summer it was like a swamp. I turned to the internet and found these. Great support and no sweat. A bit pricey for one pair of underwear, but well worth it. Never been happier!

  1. Why - I got reeeeeally tired of reching into the drawer and "fishing for shorts". After multiple 3paks; some cotton, some blend, some polyester (eeoww!), Some shrunken, some different sizes, etc.
Years ago I went on-line to shop for underwear(exciting as it sounds). Found these 2(x)ists, and bit down on a pencil as I order 10 of them a $10@.I threw out everything else when I tied one on.

+ = They are comfortable. I estimated the first small holes appeared between 90-120 washer and drier dries. I had ordered all black. They are still black, the elastic is intact and still...elastic. These replacements cost about $7.50. My morning choice of scivies is all good. I'm a guy, so I am happy. Well, I will be after a sandwich.

    - = If you're cursed with a life of 3 for $5 breifs, then don't ask for a tie next birthday.

  2. this brief has a very fashionable appeal without leaving the confort aside. I'm very pleased with it.

  3. This coutour pouch brief is meant to (like most 2(x)ist underwear), show off your male assets. I think this one does that effectively by using the pouch.

The fit is great, there is enough room for everything and although it is cotton, it stretches and shapes to my body just as well as the synthetic materials on the 2(x)ist X-Factor Countour Pouch Brief 7403 do (see my review on that product page as well). In fact, you might like that one better, so give it a look!

  1. I really like the fit of these trunks. They're comfortabel, and they hold everything right where it all needs to be. The only flaw I can see is that the legs stretch just a bit after a few hours. However it's really not noticable while fully dressed. So I'd consider it very minor.

  2. These are great the first day you get them but beware, you wash them and they turn into nut crunchers. Shrink like there is no tomorrow. I can not even wear them anymore. They squeeze your package until you want to cry. I use them for rags now. Expensive rags.

  3. What else is there to say, my butt looks good, they hold my package well, and they are comfortable. I cant ask for anything else from a pair of trunks.

  4. hi,
thanks for the nice and comfort product, i feel with it very happy, go on with such product.
    yours
    Saeed

  5. Great pair of underwear but for me it doesn't hold all of me in when I get excited. Great look and feel for sure though. I don't wear them for long when I put them on.

  1. I received these briefs as a gift from my loving wife, and was amazed at the difference from my customary cotton briefs. In many situations, from strenuous activity to long periods of confinement (such as transoceanic plane rides), these briefs provide superior support, perspiration control, and luxurious feel. I feel truly spoiled by them!

  2. Rumor has it these briefs are only worn by gay men. Get over it! My ditch-digging husband swears by his 2(x)ist ultra-soft, moisture wicking and anti-microbial soy underwear. The constant discomfort of wearing traditional underwear when he has to work in any kind of weather, dig into dry ground with a shovel and move as hard and fast as possible to get to the next job site is now a thing of the past. His 2(x)ist briefs and tee shirts keep him comfortable all day and bring him home in a better mood.

I'd suggest the 2(x)ist soy briefs and tee shirts are good for any hard working man.

  3. Have never worn a more comfortable and roomy pair of briefs.....
