  1. These boots are great. We live in Norway and it rains a lot here. My daughter loves them. That's saying a lot for a picky 10 year old who thinks she is older. I love that her feet are warm and dry.

  1. I got these for my daughter to match my rainboots. She loves them! They are worth the money.

  2. My child is 2 and she can get this on and off no problem. Handles are great. Overall I am happy with this boot.

  3. My two little girls 2 and 3 1/2 have owed these rain boot for over a year now. What a great investment!! They have been woren and woren and still look great! I'm now preparing to buy a larger size and pass the other pair down. They still are in great condition. What my ladies love the most about these boots is the they can put the on "all their self" which is very important!! I know the price is a little high, but the quality is well worth it. I would recommend these to anyone!!

  1. These are awesome boots, hands down. Completely waterproof, make walking in snow much easier (great tread), they don't freeze up or slip on ice, and there's a wool layer in the upper part that provides stability (it's seems to have a thin board inside) as well as warmth. The upper bungie/draw cord is great for tucking pants in, and along with the velcro tab across the ankle, allows you to open the boots wide to put them on, but tighten them up once the feet and pants are in.

When my son first put them on, he walked like Frankenstein for a couple days (which he thought was funny), but they softened a bit and he can now run in them.

I just wish they were expandable, because they'll last for 10 years, but he'll outgrow them after one season.

  2. We have received tons of snow this year in Wisconsin and our 20 month old loves to play outside in it all. We needed durable boots that would keep her feet nice and warm and these have done the trick. They are a bit heavy, but I think that helps her keep her balance better while tromping through the snow. She can't run in them by any means, but I don't think she'd be able to run in the snow anyway.

  3. i purchased these boots for my 3 year old son and they are so nice. they have removeable liners in them. which i had a hard time finding without spending a small fortune they are very warm and lightweight and go on easily i just can't say enough about theese boots. you will not be dissappointed i promise!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. These boots are extremely heavy. They weigh more than my shoes and I wear size 11. They weigh so much that my very active 14 month old wouldn't walk when I put these boots on. Bought it thinking that Columbia Sportswear should make nice products, but not this one. I am sending these back.

2 comments about Western Chief Little Kid/Big Kid Layered Hearts Rain Boot.

  1. My four-year-old daughter picked out this style over the pink kitties, the pink plaid and the glittery cowboy boots, but the main reason was fit. The kitties and hearts fit slimmer and more true-to-size than the cowboy and other styles that have more of a "lug" sole. Although she's a 9, she went all the way down to a 7 in those styles, which I know isn't right. I recommend trying this on in a store before you buy.

  2. I was a bit discouraged to buy the boots in fear of the weight of the actual boots. But, the weight is light enough for a 2-yr old to stomp around in the rain or mud. The boot is equally rubber gripped on the underneath of the boot that it's safe enough to walk on a slippery piece of ice/snow. Cleaning the boot is even easier than rinsing a cup!
