1. I have never seen anything like this in stores. But it really is quite lovely and seems to be very functional. They are a little on the pricey end, but add a uniquely classy look to one's hairdo. I believe the hinge is slightly stronger then that of most barrete/clips. This would make an excellent gift idea for the medium-long haired lady.

1. I got the multi version of this for my wife, who has very thick hair and always looks for barrettes that can handle that situation. This one is great..it is very pretty, shining very nicely in dimly lit rooms. I'll definitely get more of these in the future for more presents :)
