1. I have long, medium thickness hair. This barrette cannot hold all of my hair, not even close. It does do a great job at holding about the top half of my hair at the back of my head, pulled away from my face. It stays in place all day long so no droop or sag.
   
   The barrette is much more beautiful than the picture. It catches the light from every direction. It is very well made and sturdy. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it when wearing it. I am someone who must dress up for work and it looks very professional, however I can see this as a special hair ornament for a prom or a wedding.
   
   I think this barrette would only work as a 'whole head of hair' barrette if you have exceptionally fine hair. Otherwise,it is a lovely partial head of hair accessory.

1. This hair claw will hold all of my hair in a french twist without complaint all day long. My hair is mid back and medium thickness. Doubled up or braided, this product holds my hair extremely well. I work 14 hour days and give speeches and this is the first time I've made it home without one hair out of place.
   
   This is also a truly beautiful product....so much shine and light from the crystals which are well placed. The claw is easy to use one-handed so you can gather your hair up in one hand and put the clip in with the other.
   
   I have been so disappointed by drug store hair clips that I was happy to find a source for high quality hair accessories. I have many Cubitas products and they are all first rate.
